According to a report by Dailynewsegypt on March 4, Japan Tobacco International (JT Group) established a new office in Cairo, Egypt, and held a series of important meetings with strategic shareholders.
Masamichi Terabatake, President and CEO of JT Global, paid a two-day business visit to the Egypt office and met with Mariana Magdy, JTI’s General Manager in Egypt, to discuss JTI’s future strategy in Egypt, and provides thoughtful guidance on pressing business issues.
Terahata Masamichi commented on his visit:
“I am proud to witness JTI’s continued success in Egypt. This reflects our team’s strong commitment to execute the company’s leadership strategy and implement the highest global standards. The Egyptian market allows tobacco manufacturers to see huge growth potential, which reflects our interest in expanding our footprint and increasing production.”
At the end of the visit, Terahata met with the Japanese Ambassador to Egypt, Oka Hiroshi, where they discussed the latest milestones in the Egyptian market while exploring future investment opportunities that could consolidate JTI’s presence in Egypt.
