The regulations will take effect next month, and all products that do not comply with the regulations will be confiscated and destroyed. This regulation has also caused dissatisfaction in the industry, believing that the implementation was hasty and no transition period was provided for manufacturers and retailers. Malaysian Vape Alliance (MVA): 71.3% of e-cigarette users oppose the ban and may turn to the black market.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health is expected to implement the Public Health Smoking Products Control Act 2024 (Act No. 852) to curb the surge in e-cigarette users, especially the rising trend of e-cigarette use among young people.
